The 2nd Annual Miracle Limbs-Courage in Motion Benefit
Bike Ride was held in March, 2010 at
North Collier Regional Park in Naples, FL
Back by popular demand, we again had the 2 mile Family Fun ride through the park, 10, 28, 42 and 62 mile city
rides. And this year we have added a 4.8 mile timed trial!
In addition to the bike ride, we featured:
- Continental Breakfast
- Lunch Buffet
- Kid's Bounce House
- Face Painting
- Children's Bike Safety Clinic
- SAG Stops
- Prosthetist for Amputee Rider Support
- Rider Bags
Our goal for the ride this year was to raise $75,000 to continue the work of the foundation and the amputees we are
assisting. At the heart of this year's ride, will be Jamarion Styles from West Palm Beach. Jamarion is a cheerful and
gregarious little 6 year old who lost both arms at the age of 8 months. His insurance would only pay for hooks on each
arm and Jamarion chose not to wear them, learning to write with his feet instead.
Our goal was to provide Jamarion with two myoelectric arms. Once Miracle Limbs can purchase the advanced components,
Pediatric Prosthetics from Houston has agreed to rebuild his arms with these computer components at no charge, as his
growth demands.
